     从某种意义上说，2015年是永利集团3044noc登录入口综合改革的元年，永利集团3044noc登录入口自此进入了新的发展阶段。站在新的历史起点上，学校凝聚共识，进一步明确了“文理医工各具 特色融合发展，具有广泛国际影响的世界一流大学”的战略目标，提出“跻身国内大学第一方阵”发展路径；抓住深圳校区建设新机遇，追求珠海校区建设大发展， 确立“三校区五校园”的办学格局；围绕“德才兼备、领袖气质、家国情怀”的人才培养目标，优化调整学科建设布局，开启了新一轮教育教学改革探索，寻求科研 创新和服务社会能力的新突破，引领人事制度改革不断走向深入，以“守护大学精神、守护游戏规则、守护多数人利益”的信念，全心全力，去塑造更具精神内核、 更具归依感、 更具向心力的大学共同体。

     对我们每一个人而言，2016年将是不平凡的一年，因为我们都知道“开弓没有回头箭”的道理。2016年，“十三五”规划的开局之年，永利集团3044noc登录入口会继续在党 的领导下，坚持社会主义办学方向，坚持依法治校，坚持立德树人，探索适合自己发展实际的大学制度；我们会继续以开风气之先的胆识，以追求卓越的品格，探寻 多校区办学的新思路、新模式，走出一条独具特色和优势的发展之路；我们会继续以主动作为的精神，以改革创新的勇气，打破制约学校发展的各种桎梏，更有力地 促进学校各项事业的发展。

2016 New Year’s Greetings from Sun Yat-sen University

As the new year begins, everything takes on a fresh look.

Upon the arrival of the year 2016, we would like to extend our most sincere greetings, on behalf of the University, to our current students and faculty members, retired faculty and staff, domestic and overseas alumni, and friends who have joined our endeavors and continue to support Sun Yat-sen University.

Those who have great plans can see far. In the past year, the State Council officially announced the “Overall Plan to Coordinate and Push Forward the Construction of World-Class Universities and World-Class Disciplines”. With the determination and courage to face problems and pursue development through reform, Sun Yat-sen University has made a crucial step forward on its path toward becoming a world-class university, which has been enabled by meeting challenges and taking opportunities, thereby progressing toward creating a better future.

In many ways, 2015 was the inaugural year of Sun Yat-sen University’s comprehensive reform program and witnessed the beginning of a new phase of development. Standing at this new historical starting point, the University has gathered consensus, charted new paths toward development into a first-tier nationwide university, and set the strategic goal of fostering an academic environment where all disciplines develop distinctively yet systematically, thus allowing the University to blossom into an institution with influence and impact on a global scale. Taking the new opportunity of building Shenzhen Campus and pursing an expansive development agenda in Zhuhai Campus, the University now encompasses Guangzhou Campuses (South Campus, North Campus, and East Campus), Zhuhai Campus, and Shenzhen Campus. Centered on the goal of nurturing talents who have both ability and moral integrity and are both able to cultivate charisma and eager serve their country, the University is o! ptimizing and adjusting its disciplinary structure, exploring a new round of educational and teaching reform, seeking new breakthroughs in scientific research innovation and the ability to serve the society, and deepening reforms in the personnel structure. Entrusted with the solemn duty of safeguarding the university spirit, safeguarding the rules, and safeguarding the interests of the people, we will devote our efforts to building a university community with larger spiritual core, stronger sense of belonging, and greater centripetal force.

For each of us, 2016 will be an extraordinary year. We all understand that “once an arrow is released, it cannot return to the quiver”. 2016 is the opening year of the Thirteenth Five-Year Plan. Led by the CPC, Sun Yat-sen University will continue to adhere to the socialist orientation of higher education, to adhere to the rule of law in university management, to adhere to the principle of nurturing virtue and talents, and to explore a university system that is appropriate for its actual development. With the courage and insight to lead the trend, and with the character to pursue excellence, we shall continue to explore new ideas and new models for multiple campus management and forge a path of development with unique characteristics and strengths. With the spirit of taking decisive actions, and with the courage of reform and innovation, we shall continue to break the various barriers that restrict the University’s development, and promote the developmen! t of various causes at the University.

We have full confidence in the future development of Sun Yat-sen University. For our shared dreams, expectations, and future, and with faith and courage, let us join hands and forge ahead in the development of the University!
